Predator is very comedic, not exactly what you’d expect or want from a Predator movie. While some of the jokes landed and made me laugh. I didn’t come to the movie to laugh. I came to watch a hunter alien kill a bunch of people. And while he does, in fact, kill a lot of people. It feels like it takes a back seat to the comedy and the main character’s relationship with his son and his newfound friends in the form of the Loonies. Plot doesn’t make much sense and the film is very CGI reliant. Missed opportunities plot-wise. There’s potential in the story, but the movie’s focus is on the wrong things.
